Into the Woods: Movie Review

Into the Woods Movie

“Isn’t it nice to know a lot… and a little bit not…”

This quote is stated by the Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods.

Into the Woods is a fantasy musical movie released on December 25, 2014 in America. It made over $31,021,000 on box office weekend and has a cast of many famous actors including Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, and many more actors and actresses. The story takes the classic fairy tales of Little Red Riding Hood, Jack & The Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella and twists them together with the story of the baker and his wife. The baker and his wife have to lift the curse put upon them by the Witch if they want to have a child, but the Witch sends them to obtain items related to each fairy tale. They are supposed to obtain the four objects and bring them to the Witch to have the curse reversed. Along the way, the baker and his wife meet Little Red Riding Hood, Jack, Rapunzel, and Cinderella and together, they go through many trials and tribulations to try to meet the Witch’s expectations. Overall, I found the movie to be quite entertaining even though I did not expect it to be a musical at all because of how the trailer seems, but I would still recommend it to others to watch. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide to see Into the Woods and find out what happens on this exciting adventure!
